What is the first thing you think of when you hear a dog is deaf? What about blind in one eye or both? Most would run in the other direction but this is where people need to get the facts and see actually how dogs can overcome any handicap. People get a handicap and they shut down, they fell sorry for themselves but with animals they just keep going and do not even realize they are handicap.
This is where little Lipton come in. Lipton was a puppy cast-off that someone apparently found out her had handicaps and left him in a parking lot in hope someone else would take him but then not have to look like the bad guy for giving him up. Lipton is deaf and he is blind in one eye, but he responds to training visually thru his good eye. He is learning commands, housebreaking (which is going great), and proper interactions between him and other animals. He does not know he has any issues that are not normal as he has never known what normal is. Really what is normal. Is it our perception or is it his? Normal to him is just being loved and if you can love a dog then he is perfect for you.
He is currently in Hinesville, GA and being adopted through Blind Dog Rescue Alliance. Read the article for contact info and also to watch the cutest video of him. He is the cutest bundle of joy running around just like any other dog. Check him out.
